Samye Foundation Wales can't run without the help of volunteers. Here are a number of the team who are involved with the daily running of the organisation, as well as others who provide services from our centre.

Working in conjunction with our community partners:
Lorraine helped set up Samye Foundation Wales in order to bring benefit to the people of South Wales. A long-time practitioner of meditation and a qualified mindfulness instructor, Lorraine also holds a Diploma in Indian Champissage and Ayurvedic foot massage and provides these therapies upon request.

Anthony has been a practitioner of meditation and mindfulness for over 30 years. He is a qualified psychotherapist and mindfulness instructor who is also a popular teacher of meditation.

Ann is a qualified and practicing accountant who is responsible for all aspects of the financial running of the charity.

Damien is a mindfulness and meditation practitioner and qualified school teacher who has worked also in the financial and governmental sectors. He has overall responsibility for public relations, marketing and publicity for Samye Foundation Wales.

Dani is a local businesswoman with years of experience in a wide range of corporate development. She chairs the fundraising committee and interfaces with other organisations to further the aims and objectives of Samye Foundation Wales.

Kathryn is a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). She believes in the importance of an individual’s past experiences and their relationships and believes in the individual’s freedom and power to change. She works with children, young people and adults with wide-ranging difficulties.

Lynsey is a professionally qualified and fully insured massage therapist and is trained to carry out a wide range of holistic therapies. She undertakes continuous professional development and abides by a strict code of conduct. Clare is a researcher and Senior Lecturer at University of Wales, Newport.  She is working in conjunction with Samye Foundation Wales investigating secular applications/methodologies of mindfulness in education, and with the elderly.

Minu Mandora is a member of the British Wheel of Yoga (www.bwy.org.uk) and has been practicing yoga since 1994 starting with her first teacher - Philip Jones, she attended Iyenger yoga classes with Padmasinga at the Buddhist Centre in Cardiff for some years before undertaking  a Yoga foundation course with Ann Lewis (Vini Yoga); Minu completed her teacher diploma at the Mandala Yoga Ashram (Bihar School of Yoga) and has been teaching yoga since 2006.  She has been part of Samye Foundation Wales since 2002.
