Talks and Workshops with Gelong Thubten

Gelong Thubten is a senior monk from Kagyu Samye Ling monastery. He has been a monk for 23 years and has spent over 5 years in intensive retreats. He spent many years as the personal assistant of our Founder, Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche. Thubten teaches on Buddhism and mindfulness internationally, and provides training to staff at the head offices of Google, Facebook, HSBC, ACAS, Eversheds, Lloyds Bank, major law firms and many other companies and institutions. He also works with the NHS, universities and schools, as well as the prison service and addiction counselling centres. He is one of the Directors of Samye Foundation Wales, and also of Kagyu Samye Dzong Cardiff. He is also the Director of Samye Yorkshire and is a Trustee of ROKPA International, the humanitarian aid charity.

Public Talk by Gelong Thubten

As you can see from the links below, Gelong Thubten has recently returned from USA after teaching mindfulness to actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton.

We are fortunate to have Thubten as a director of Samye Foundation Wales. He regularly teaches in Wales at Eversheds, ACAS, and Lloyds Bank. He also teaches across the UK to Linklaters LLP, Clifford Chance LLP, Facebook, Google (Ireland) and many others.

7 Points of Mind Training Module 4

This teaching programme is designed to help you deepen your practice and increase your commitment to compassion training, bringing that training into all areas of daily life. Each day retreat will be a combination of teaching and practice with time for reflection and advice. The teachings are based on a well known Buddhist text and set of practices, which help us to open the heart and transform our relationship to life's challenges and difficulties.
