Meditation Mondays provide an introduction to the Tibetan Buddhist practice of Meditation.
Tibetan Buddhist meditation includes methods of increasing presence and awareness of our thoughts and feelings. With this practice we learn how to better respond to the circumstances that arise in our daily life.
The course will cover posture, meditation practice, Tibetan Buddhist Prayers & what they mean as well as why and when we do them.
There will be a follow on course in the autumn which will give further Buddhist practices which will lead on from what you have already learned in the Level 1 course. You will need to have completed the Level 1 course before you do the Level 2 course, but if you have missed this, we will be running it again.
Please note, that the Meditation Monday courses are open to all with an interest in learning more about Tibetan Buddhism and are aimed at teaching from the fundamentals. As such, they are suitable for people who are entirely new to Buddhism or are already practicing.
