Buddhist Meditation course
Learn Buddhist meditation to help overcome the stresses and strains of modern life
This course is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience of meditation/mindfulness. It will cover various meditation and mindfulness techniques, as well as offer an opportunity to learn about Buddhism. Emphasis will be placed on being grounded in the physical body and how the mind can naturally learn to slow down. You will learn to recognise the busy mind and how to leave it alone.
The course is not aimed at converting people to Buddhism and everybody is welcome to attend, to learn meditation techniques for therapeutic reasons and to overcome the stresses and strains of modern life. There will be Buddhist prayers beforehand with guided meditation.
The course is facilitated by Anthony Harris who is an experienced teacher of meditation and mindfulness. Anthony has been a practitioner of meditation for over 30 years. He is a Director of Samye Foundation Wales as well as being a qualified psychotherapist.
